  1. Dose freshly ground coffee into the bottom of the French Press.
  2. Place French Press on the scale and tare to 0.
  3. Vigorously add the hot water, being sure to wet all of the grinds.

    3 Cup 300g | 6 Cup 800g

  4. Stir occasionally.
  5. Towards the end of the brew time, at about 3.5 minutes, attach the press lid to the top of the carafe.
  6. At 5 minutes, press down the plunger and decant the coffee into your serving vessel (OR for a cleaner cup with just as much body but much less particulate, try decanting the coffee without pressing the plunger down. Just engage the plunger a little so it stays put, hold the lid and pour!)

*Always be sure to decant your coffee into a separate serving vessel, otherwise the pressed coffee sitting at the bottom will continue to extract into your brew, resulting in a bitter, over extracted beverage.
