This intensive class introduces the essential principles and practices for preparing quality espresso and espresso-based beverages. Espresso Fundamentals is an introductory course, so no prior experience is necessary! Students should expect to leave with an understanding of:
- The role of the barista
- Proper technique for espresso preparation
- How to steam milk for microfoam
- The basic of building espresso-based drinks
- Daily cleaning procedures for espresso equipment
This class is a prerequisite for Advanced Espresso.
This class is both lecture and hands-on. Please come prepared to drink coffee.
Time: 11am - 2pm
Location: New Harvest Training Lab, Hope Artiste Village, Unit 110
