About this coffee
Don Oscar Omar Alonzo started growing coffee on his farm in 1997, right after he completed his military service. In the early years of the 2000's, he converted the farm to 100% organic production. After a rocky start that cost him 90% of his coffee yield, Don Oscar received technical support from the COMSA cooperative and improved his use of organic fertilizers. Now his organic harvests exceed the pre-conversion yields. In addition, he has been experimenting with coffee cherry processing methods and has created this complex, delicious honey-processed coffee.
