Position Summary
The Training & Events Associate supports the Director of Training & Outreach by handling the operational, logistical, and promotional aspects of New Harvest's educational and outreach programs. This role is ideal for a hands-on, organized, and outgoing person who enjoys being on the move, interacting with the public, and promoting a great coffee experience.
Key Responsibilities

Events & Classes Support

Assist with setup, breakdown, and cleaning for all public classes and internal trainings

Staff events including pop-ups, trade shows, hotel/college activations, and weekend markets

Represent New Harvest at community events such as WaterFire, Little City Thrifty, etc.

Prepare and transport materials and coffee equipment to and from events

Farmers Market Operations

Prepare supplies on Fridays for the Hope Street Farmers Market (HSFM)

Work the Saturday shift at HSFM: set up booth, serve coffee, engage with customers, clean up

Product Demos & Outreach

Conduct coffee demos at partner locations (e.g., Whole Foods)

Support the execution of on-site tastings, tabling, and outreach events

Marketing & Inventory Logistics

Organize, track, and restock branded merchandise and marketing materials (e.g. urn tags, stickers, totes)

Maintain storage and ordering systems for event and promotional supplies

Assist with producing social media content from events and classes (photos, captions, etc.)
Qualifications
-
Strong communication and customer service skills
-
Detail-oriented and highly organized
-
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work weekends/events as scheduled

Comfort with social media and event documentation
-
Previous experience in events, food service, or marketing a plus
Working Conditions

Requires standing for extended periods and travel to off-site events

Pay and Benefits

$40k/year starting salary

80 hours PTO, 120 hours after one year
