Description: Looking to give you barista skills a jumpstart? In this introductory class you will learn the proper techniques for espresso preparation, how to steam milk for microfoam, and  proper espresso equipment maintenance. A great introduction or refresher. This class is both lecture and hands-on. Please come prepared to drink coffee.

UPDATE: To allow more time for hands-on practice, Barista Basics will no longer include a Seed to Cup presentation. To learn more about what coffee is and where it comes from, check out Introduction to Specialty Coffee (Professional Development) or Seed to Cup (Home Enthusiast).

Ticket price includes a 12oz bag of  New Harvest Coffee and a digital copy of the class handout.
