This intensive class introduces the essential principles and practices for preparing quality espresso and espresso-based beverages. Barista Basics is an introductory course, so no prior experience is necessary! Students should expect to leave with an understanding of:

  • The role of the barista
  • Proper technique for espresso preparation
  • How to steam milk for microfoam
  • The basic of building espresso-based drinks
  • Daily cleaning procedures for espresso equipment

Prerequisites: none

This class is both lecture and hands-on. Please come prepared to drink coffee.

Time: 11am - 1pm
